This mod compensates for what many complain is the BD-2's shortcoming- it being too brittle sounding and a little too hollow in the midrange. Over 10 total alterations inside this one…Multiple capacitors are upgraded to higher fidelity metal film type with value changes accordingly. Metal film sound clearer than the stock parts and give your pedal that extra sonic clarity and stability. Resistor values are changed to balance out the highs and lows.

Also, we'll mod in some 1n4001 and a internal LED to increase harmonic sensitivity and overtone color. Your tone will really squeal when you attack the strings. After the Plan B mod, your blues driver will have slightly increased midrange, a tighter bass, and more tube-like saturation while still retaining that transparent boost-quality feature at low gain settings. The distortion can be boosted in varying amounts at your request. This mod sounds great pushing the front of a a cranked tube amp with your tone rolled off a bit.
